Abstract:A series of macromolecular monomer with different carbon chain length,monomethoxyl polyethylene glycol maleic acid mono ester was synthesized with monomethoxyl polyethylene glycol(MPEG) of different c...A series of macromolecular monomer with different carbon chain length,monomethoxyl polyethylene glycol maleic acid mono ester was synthesized with monomethoxyl polyethylene glycol(MPEG) of different carbon chain length and maleic anhydride(MA) as starting materials.The optimal reaction conditions were determined by experiment work as:n(MPEG)∶n(MA)=1∶1.2,reaction temperature 100 ℃,reaction time 3 h.Free radical copolymerization was carried out by the above-mentioned macromolecular monomer,acrylic acid,hydroxy ethyl methacrylic acid and sodium vinyl sulfonate as starting materials and with potassium persulfate(KPS) as initiating agent.The copolymerization product is used as water reducing agent for concrete slurry and its water reducing performance was examined.The results showed that when the molecular weight of MPEG is 1 000,the dosage of initiator is 2.5%(w) of the macromolecular monomer,fluidity of concrete slurry achieves the highest value and it indicated that under these conditions,the copolymerization product displays the best performance as a water reducing agent for concrete slurry.Read More
