Title: Eggplant and Hot Pepper's Yield and Nutrients Uptake as Affected by Different Fertilization Structures
Abstract: To understand the effect of different fertilization structure on summer pepper and eggplant yield and nutrients uptake, the field plot experiment was carried out in Vegetables base of Junshan District of Yueyang city, Hunan Province. The results showed that:( 1) The combined application of organic fertilizers and chemical fertilizers may significantly increase the yield of pepper and eggplant compared with NPK(pure chemical fertilizer) treatment and the local custom fertilization.(2) N, P and K nutrient uptake and nutrient recovery rate of the combined application of organic fertilizers and chemical fertilizers are higher than that of the local custom fertilization treatment and the pure chemical fertilizer treatment.( 3) the utilization of eggplant for soil nutrients is less than that of pepper while the requirement of eggplant for nutrient is lager than that of pepper.(4) Under the tested soil conditions, fertilizer amount of N, P2O5, K2 O for eggplant and pepper were 188.94, 100.16, 212.46 kg/hm2 and 132.37, 59.55, 133.77 kg/hm2, respectively. And the corresponding fertilizer ratios were 1:0.53:1.12 and 1:0.45:1.01, respectively. Therefore, the fertilization rate of eggplant should be larger than that of pepper at the same soil condition. According to the principle of balanced fertilization, the optimized fertilization rate for pepper and eggplant was calculated.
