Green infrastructure analysis can be a useful approach to identify strategies to reduce urban environmental problems. This paper,from a multi-scale perspective,reevaluates the green spaces and proposes strategies to unite them into a holistic green infrastructure system. From a macro perspective,the generously protected areas,serve as the main structure of the system. From a micro perspective,urban greenery-increase strategies and reduction of urban fragmentation are crucial in reducing urban environmental problems. With landscape metrics and GIS analysis,this paper reevaluates the Green Master Plan in Hong Kong and discusses the strategies of green space management,which could be a reference for the green infrastructure development in other compact Asian cities.Read More
