Title: A New Species of Sinocyclocheilus (Cyprinidae) from Cave of Yunnan, China
Abstract: Sinocyclocheilus tileihornes Mao, Lu et Li, sp. nov (Fig. 1 ). Holotype, No2002091001,73 mm SL, was collected from Agang Subterranean river (24°48'N,103°58' Eluoping County, Yunnan on Sept. 3,2002. Paratypes 6 specimens, No2002091002 -2002091007, 60 -68 mm SL, were collected from the same locality as the holotype.
D,iii,7;A,ii,5;P,i,12 - 15;V,i,6;Gill-rakers 6-8, Lateral line pore, 36 -40, Pharyngeal teeth 3 rows, 2. 3.4/4. 3. 2 . Depth of body 3. 1-3. 3 (3. 2 ) in SL, head length 2. 9-3.1(3.0) , caudal peduncle length 4.4 -5.6(4.9) , caudal peduncle depth 8.1-10.5(9.2). Snout 2.1 -2.9(2.6) in head, eye 13.1 -20.0(16. 8),interorbital 3.9 -5.1 (4.2). Depth of caudal peduncle 1.4 -2.3( 1.9) in its length.
The new species is similar to 5. rhinocerous Li et Tao( 1994, but differs from the latter in the following aspects; ( 1) Without lateral line scales; (2) The horn top being forked like tile; (3) Ventral fin longer, extend to the anus or the origin of anal fin.
The type specimens are all deposited in Qujing Fishery Administration, Yunnan.
