Title: A clinical control study of fluoxetine and amitriptyline in the treatment of depressive patients.
Abstract: Objective To explore efficacy,safety,social function of fluoxetine in the treatment of depression.Methods 40 patients were randomly assigned into the fluoxetine group(n=20) and amitriptyline group(n=20) for 8 weeks,Efficacies were assessed with the Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),the Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale(TESS) and Global Assessment Function Scale(GAF).Results There were no significant differences in response time and global curative effect between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Despite fluoxetine and amitriptyline have significant efficacy,fluoxetine has higher safety,well compliance in the treatment of depression and well remarkable effect in the social function.
