Title: Detection of T Lymphocyte Subsets in Peripheral Blood and Relationship with Prognosis of Gastric Cancer
Abstract: Objective To study CD4/CD8 of T lymphocyte in peripheral blood and its relationship with prognosis of gastric cancer. Methods CD4+、CD8+ T cells in peripheral blood of patients with gastric and health donors was detected by FCM.The concentration of IL-2,IFN-γ in serum was assayed by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results The value of CD4/CD8 was 1.57±0.37,1.43±0.71 in health donors or patients with gastric cancer, and the difference was not significant(P0.05).Accoding to the percentage of CD8+ T cells, patients were divided into two groups: CD4/CD8 decreased(1.02±0.21) or normal(1.64±0.61) group. There was significant difference between two groups(P0.05).Significant differences were also observed in the concentration of IFN-γ(25.42±8.12 ng/ml vs.6.27±1.77 ng/ml) or IL-2(213.7±21.3 ng/L vs.162.3±35.4 ng/L).Compared to CD4/CD8 normal group,CD4/CD8 decreased group had higher risk of local recurrence and distant metastasis, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion The decreased value of CD4/CD8 correlated with serum concentration of IL-2 or IFN-γ.The ratio of CD4/ CD8 can be used as one of objective prognosis of patients with gastric cancer.
