Title: Analysis of clinical distribution and drug resistance in 468 strains of acinetobacter baumannii
Abstract: Objective To investigate the clinical distribution and drug resistance of acinetobacter baumannii(A.baumannii) in order to provide lab evidence of clinical rational administration. Methods A.baumannii isolated from different clinical specimens during the period of January to December in 2009 in one hospital in Taiyuan were retrospec-tively analyzed. Results The A.baumannii(468 strains totally isolated) were mainly distributed in pneumology depart-ment and intensive care unit(ICU),76.3% were mainly isolated from sputum,23.7% from other specimens. The resistance rate to minocycline(13.4%) was the lowest in the 16 kinds of antibiotics, and the resistance rate to cefoper-azone-sulbactam,impenem,meropnem,levoflxacin and amikacin were 29.0%,31.2%,31.8%,46.6% and 49.0%,res-pectively,and the resistance rates to other 10 antibiotics were higher than 50%.Conclusion Drug resistant of A.baumannii was multiple and wide.Monitoring to resistant rate of A.baumannii was very helpful to administrate reasonably, reduce the multiple and wide resistance strains, and to control hospital infection of A.baumannii efficiently.
