Title: The Theory on Wen Qi of The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons
Abstract: In this paper,the representative views on the research on Wen Qi during the Before Qin Dynasty and Han and Wei Dynasties are summarized into three forms: philosophical level,aesthetic level and the concepts of literary theory.In this simple ordering process,it is found that the views above are exactly the source of thought about the theory on Wen Qi in the book The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons written by Liu Xie.Among these,the main are the inheritance and development of three contents which are the theory on Qi combined rigid-flexible with Yin and Yang in the book Zhou Yi,the theory on elegant and claimed by Cao Pi.The theory on Wen Qi claimed by Liu Xie contains diverse connotations and its greatest contribution reflects in two aspects,one is that it is the first time that the type theory of the style combined rigid-flexible has been established in literary history,and it deduces styles of writing from the point eight styles listed in the article style and character supported by the theory of rigidity runs flexibility in,divination promotes each other,the other is that strength of character is judged by Wen Qi and advocates vigorous style of writing;which is of great theoretical value.
