Title: Purification of 2-chloro-5-chloromethyl pyridine by Vacuum Distillation
Abstract: Using high efficient θ reseau filled column, the purification of 2-chloro-5-chloromethyl pyridine was achieved by the method of vacuum distillation. The purity of product can be more than 98%, the instant concentration can be more than 99.4% and the yield rate can reach above 70%. The design of two flask vacuum collector can reduce operation time and avoid the coking phenomenon of filling after the vapor of 2-chloro-5chloromethyl pyridine condensated during changing the bottle. The suitable operation condition can be got by the study of changing parameter batch distillation. The suitable operation pressure was no more than 3.0KPa, and the bottom temperature should be below 130℃. Experiment results indicated that the vacuum distillation by using two flask vacuum collectors can make product yield higher.
