Title: The Ethnic Groups and Their Culture in Heilongjiang Area during Qin and Han Dynasties
Abstract: In the Heilongjiang area during Qin and Han dynasties, there used to be Xianbei, Wuhuan, Tuoli, Fuyu and Yilou peoples and a small number of Han people. The latter three ethnic groups established their respective kingdoms and entered slave society period, being influenced either directly or indirectly by Han culture. Agriculture held almost as an important position as husbandry in their economies and iron tools began to appear and used. The general picture being that the southern and south-eastern areas received greater influence than the northern and north-eastern parts. [
