The results show that Si and Y improve the tensile strength and hardness of the alloy separately, especially increase the tensile strength of high temperature effectively. And the increase of the high temperature mechanical strength is due to the strengthening function of the diffused precipitate particle. The as-cast microstructure organization of the magnesium alloy of Mg-6.0Zn-1.5Al-0.15Mn-1.2Si-0.5Y is composed mainly of α (Mg) matrix, β (MgZn) phase ,λ (Mg_2Si) phase and ω(SiY)phase.Read More
