Abstract:OBJECTIVE To study the analgesic effects and mechanism of ethanol extracts of Tie Kuaizi in mice.METHODS The analgesic effects were tested by hot-plates test and twisting body test.The I and II phase ...OBJECTIVE To study the analgesic effects and mechanism of ethanol extracts of Tie Kuaizi in mice.METHODS The analgesic effects were tested by hot-plates test and twisting body test.The I and II phase pain were observed with the pain model caused by formalin test.Influence of naloxone antagonism test and L-Arg and L-NAME were also used to explore the analgesic mechanism of ethanol extracts of Tie Kuaizi.RESULTS The ethanol extracts of Tie Kuaizi could significantly reduce the times of twisting body induced by acetic acid,and greatly improve the pain threshold of hot-plate in mice.Ethanol extracts had inhibitory effect on I and II phase pain in formalin induced pain model animals.Analgesic effect was not significantly reduced by naloxone.L-Arg could reduce but L-NAME could enhance the analgesic action.CONCLUSION The ethanol extracts of Tie Kuaizi shows analgesic effects.The analgesic site may locate in both central and peripheral nervous system.Read More
