Abstract:Objective:To explore semi-laminectomy decompression for retrogression lumbar spinal stenosis(RLSS).Methods: During July 2005 to June 2009,162 patients with RLSS were operated on for semi-laminectomy d...Objective:To explore semi-laminectomy decompression for retrogression lumbar spinal stenosis(RLSS).Methods: During July 2005 to June 2009,162 patients with RLSS were operated on for semi-laminectomy decompression with pedicle screw fixation and posterolateral bone graft.Results:The patients were followed up for 6 to 24 months(average 10.5 months).The JOA scores of preoperation(15.26±5.26) was increased to those of postoperation(21.38±5.16)(P0.05).Conclusion:This surgical approach not only allows complete decompression of the spinal canal,but also keeps the stability and integrity of the spinal posterior column.Read More
