Abstract:According to the actual structure of the radial tire,which is included the contact non-linearity between tire and rim,an axisymmetric and a three-dimensional finite element tire models based on MSC.MA...According to the actual structure of the radial tire,which is included the contact non-linearity between tire and rim,an axisymmetric and a three-dimensional finite element tire models based on MSC.MARC code are constructed in the present study.Firstly,using the axisymmetric model,the rim is fixed in the tire,along with the tire being inflated.Secondly,in order to reduce the cost of calculation,with the aid of the advanced method of axisymmetric model to three-dimensional model,the problems of tire-pavement contact and the steady state rolling of tire with various cornering condition are analyzed.The distributions of contact normal force at tire-rim and tire-road interfaces are presented,and the deformation configures of the lowest section of tire at different slip angles are also given.Furthermore,the influences of various loads,inflation pressure and friction coefficients on lateral forces and aligning moments are investigated.Read More
