Abstract: The Folk Songs is a folk song ditty collection of Suzhou area compiled by the later Ming Dynasty scholar -- Feng Meng - long. This almost lost Folk Song, saying from content, the overwhelming majority is inadvisable, but at language, it objectively kept a lot of Wu Dialect vocabulary of the later Ming Dynasty in Suzhou area This text mainly notes some Wu Dialect vocabulary that the older generation scholar did not note, and it also expresses the authors own view to some noted ones that remained to be discussed, increasing the readability of Folk Song further, and it also has certain value to the historical research of Wu Dialect that we carry on now.
