Title: EXPERIMENTAL AND VISUALIZATION STUDY OF BOILING PHENOMENA IN SUPERFLUID HELIUM II
Abstract: With the decreasing of the immersion depth, different kinds of boiling modes appear in the superfluid helium II. A big vapor bubble comparing to the heater size is found to expand and crush on the heater surface accompanied with a loud noise and serve mechanical vibration during noisy film boiling; a stable vapor film is observed on the heater surface without noise and vibration during silent film boiling; and there is transition boiling between noisy and silent film boiling modes. Different kinds of boiling modes are studied by the aid of Schileren visualization method and pressure measurement during boiling.
