Title: Effect of Temperature and Volatile-Char Interactions on Ratio of Volatile-NO and Char-NO during Coal combustion
Abstract: The release of fuel-NO during coal combustion include the contribution of volatile and char, however, the study of the relative contributions of volatile-N and char-N to the total NO emission during high temperature combustion has been seldom studied. The interaction between volatile and char is significant to the release of coal NO during coal combustion and control mechanism. In this paper,a high temperature automatically feed fixed bed experimental system has designed for a special experiment, which can separate volatile combustion and char combustion to record each NO production. As a comparison,we also take a study on traditional combustion with no separation. The results show that as temperature increasing during the separate combustion,NO release rate increasing,fuel-NO release reduce,volatile-NO accounted for the proportion of fuel-NO decreased after increasing.Furthermore, under various temperature conditions, volatile NO proportion decreased with coal rank increasing.
