Title: Experimental Study on Bioleaching of Copper Sulfide Tailings under Alkaline Conditions
Abstract: A bacterial leaching test was performed for the tailings of some copper sulfide with alkaline thiobacillus which was isolated in tailings dam with enrichment culture technology. The effect of inoculation amount, adaptation time of bacteria and pulp density on the leaching rate of the copper was analyzed. Results showed that the leaching rate of copper from tailings can reach a maximum of 24.51% after bioleaching for 50 d with a pulp density of 5 g/L,25% of inoculation amount and 5 d of adaptation time of bacteria. After the optimizing the test conditions, the leaching rate of copper can be expected to reach a maximum of 33.4%,up 8.89 percentage point.
