Title: Study of seeding date and phosphorus fertilizer on yielding of sesame in Changchun district
Abstract: The experiment was carried out in agricultural science test station of Jilin agricultural university, the soil type is meadow blackland, previous crop is corn and this soil is highly fertile. The effect of different sowing date and application of different quantities of phosphorus fertilizer on growth and yield characteristics of Sesamum inicum were studied. The results indicated that the different sowing date had no significant influence on growth and yield characteristics. Therefore the sowing date was reasonably long,it could be any time between 20th of April and 10th of May.However for the same sowing date, different levels of phosphorus fertilizer(50、70、100kg/hm2) resulted significant difference on growth and yield characteristics. The results indicated that there were significant difference between 50 kg/hm2 and 70 kg/hm2,and highly significant difference between 50 kg/hm2 and 100 kg/hm2.Therefore,for Sesamum inicum crop in the meadow blackland in central Jilin province, the most appropriate dose of phosphorus fertilizer was between 70~100 kg/hm2.
