Title: Research on Transformation of Urban Function and Spatial Structure in Information Era
Abstract: Urbanization and informatization are the two mainstreams in the current urban development.These two processes are interactional and mutual stimulative.Urbanization and suburbanization processes have been deeply influenced by information technology,especially Internet technology.And its influences on urban function and spatial structure have been widely discussed by social scholars,architectures,urban geographers,and so on.In China,the Internet usage has been greatly improved,but the research of the Internet influences on the urban function and its spatial structure has been limited on very narrow field.This paper discusses the vicissitude of traditional urban function of transportation,housing,working and recreation.Based on the urban function transformation,it also discusses the transferring of urban spatial structure through the reflection of urban land-use,including the decline of CBD(Central Business District),the overlapping of urban function zoning,the polarization of inner structure in urban space and urban-rural integration.It also puts forward some ideas on urban planning in information era: 1) reforming urban management system; 2) rethinking city growth polar; 3) urban green design; 4) immaterial urban planning; 5) utilizing network technology to improve efficiency of urban planning
