Title: Forest stand characteristics of Camellia semiserrata plantation in Nanshan Forest Park of Guangdong Province
Abstract: In order to provide some theoretical and technological guidance for reformation and building of Camellia semiserrata plantation, forest stand characteristics of 35-years C. semiserrata plantation in Yunfu Nanshan Forest Park of Guangdong Province were investigated and analyzed by the method of plot investigation. The results show that average diameter at breast height(DBH) of the forest stand is 8.7 cm, average tree height is 6.0 m, average crown size is 9.70 m2, and average stand density is about 2 313 p lants per hm2. DBH distribution of the forest stand is similar to normal distribution. Crown size and tree height of the forest stand increase with DBH increasing. The greater stand density, and the less crown size. The forest stand, crown density of which is above 0.9, has strong sprouting ability and complicated age structure, however, derground composition is simple, the types are few, and cover degree is about 1%.
