Title: Treatment of recurrent inguinal hernia with hernia ring filling tension-free repair
Abstract: Objective To investigate the clinical effect of hernia ring filling tension free repair on recurrent inguinal hernia.Methods Thirty seven cases with recurrent inguinal hernia (29 cases of indirect hernia,8 cases of direct hernia) were treated with cone type hernia ring filling materials and mesh plug products of repair.Results The patients could move about 24 hours after operation and postoperative pain lasted 2 days. Hematoma of scrotum occurred in only one case and there was no infection of incisional wound while the average hospitalization time was 4~9 days.There was no recurrence in postoperative follow up survey of 34 cases(6~15 months).Conclusion Hernia ring filling tension free repair is quite safe with little lesion and quicker recovery.
