Title: The Content of Essential Oil and Components of Fennel Seed in Different Development Stages
Abstract: Changes of essential oil contents and components of fennel seed in different stages were studied using Inner Mongolia fennel cultivars as materials.The results showed as follows:during the riping course of fennel seed,the content of essential oil in fennel seed was increased slowly untill it arrived at the peak value in riping stage,The contents of monoterpenes compounds,such as limonene and γ-terpinene,dropped continually,however,the contents of (E)-anethole,Estragole and Fenchone enhanced ceaselessly,The changes of content of Monoterpenes compounds and Limonene showed trend of reducing,while the changing pattern in contents of Oxygenated compounds and (E)-anethole were contrary to that of Monoterpenes compounds and Limonene .
