Title: Expression of NET-1 gene protein and its significance in cervical cancer and its precursor lesion
Abstract: Objective:To study the expression of NET-1 gene protein and its significance in cervical cancer and its precursor lesion. Methods:Immunohistochemical S-P method was used to detect NET-1 gene protein in 50 cases of cervical invasive squamous cell carcinoma,36 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CINⅠ~Ⅲ)and 5 cases of normal cervical tissue. Results:There was no expression of NET-1 in normal cervical tissues. The positive expression rate of NET-1 in CINⅢ was significantly higher than that in CINⅠ(P0.01)and CINⅡ(P0.01).The positive expression rate of NET-1 in CINⅢ and cervical cancer was 78.58% and 76.00% respectively, and the difference was not significant(P0.05).The expression of NET-1 was closely correlated with lymph node metastasis in cervical cancer(P0.01).Conclusion:The overexpression of NET-1 may be an early molecule event in the occurrence of cervical cancer and become a marker to monitor and predicate the transit of CIN in clinical practice. The overexpression of NET-1 contributes apparent potential abilities of invasion and metastasis to carcinoma cells.
