Title: Clinical Observation on 46 Cases of Chronic Hepatitis B Treated by Sequential Treatment of Fuzheng Jiedu Huoxue Capsule
Abstract: Objective To observe the effect of sequential of Fuzheng Jiedu Huoxue Capsule (Capsule for reinforcing resistance, removing toxins, and activating blood circulation) treatment on chronic hepatitis B (CHB). Methods Totally 91 CHB patients were randomized into two groups. The control group of 45 cases were administered lamivudine tablets, bifendate pills, and inosine tablets. Additionally, the treatment group was given sequentially Ⅰ, Ⅱ, and Ⅲ, each for 90 days. The course of treatment was 270 days in total. Before treatment and on the 30th, 60th, 90th, 180th, and 270th day of treatment, the liver function, hepatitis B virus (HBV) five items, HBV-DNA capacity, and indices of liver fibrosis were detected and the main symptom scores were recorded. Results The negative conversion rate of alanine aminotransferase (ALT) in both groups was improved (P0.05), but the difference between groups at the same time point was not significant (P0.05). The HBV-DNA and the negative conversion rate of HBeAg, the HBsAg/HBsAb, and the transformation rate of HBeAg/HBeAb of the treatment group were all higher than those of the control group, but the difference was not significant (P0.05). After treatment, the indices of liver fibrosis of both groups were significantly decreased, but the amplitude of decrease in the treatment group was larger (P0.05). The total score of main symptoms in the treatment group was reduced, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P0.05). Conclusion The sequential treatment of Fuzheng Jiedu Huoxue Capsule is comprehensively effective on CHB, to a certain degree, it overcomes the resistance and variation of HBV.
