Title: Design of heat exchangers in a high-temperature heat pump system based on system performance
Abstract: In order to better design and match the heat exchangers in a high-temperature heat pump system,a design method based on the system performance is presented.Firstly,the dimensions of heat exchangers were designed with given design conditions;secondly,the designed heat exchangers were combined with the other components in the system to establish a simulation model of the system;finally,the effects of configuration parameters and area of designed heat exchangers on the system performance were analyzed,thereby a better design scheme was selected.Results of simulation and analysis indicate that the area ratio of the condenser to the evaporator has an optimal range when the configurations of their respective heat exchange tubes have been specified.The so-called system performance-based design method for heat exchangers may avoid the blindness in isolated design of heat exchangers owning to the consideration from a systematic angle.
