Title: Effects of Combinations of Different Nitrogen Forms on the Growth and Nitrogen Metabolism of Spinach
Abstract: [Objective] The study aimed to discuss the nutritive characteristics and combined effect of NO3——N and NH4+-N on leaf vegetables.[Method] The total N content was determined by Kjeldahl.[Result] The increment of ammonium N proportion had great effect on the biomass of aerial part of spinach. In the treatment with the ratio of NO3——N to NH4+-N being 100/0,the fresh and dry weights of spinach were highest and its biomass was biggest. As the ratio of NO3——N to NH4+-N reduced, the fresh and dry weights and biomass of spinach reduced gradually, but its ratio of root to crown increased. The increment of ammonium N proportion had significant effects on the accumulation of nitrate in the root and leaf of spinach and the difference among different combinations was significant. As the ratio of NO3——N to NH4+-N reduced, the accumulation amount of nitrate reduced. When the ratio of NO3——N to NH4+-N was 0/100,the accumulation amount was smallest and significantly lower than that in the treatment with the ratio of 25/75.[Conclusion] Culture with only ammonium had significant inhibition effect on the growth of spinach.NO3——N had promoting effect on the growth of spinach.
