Title: Effective method for large structure dynamic analysis
Abstract: Accelerated subspace iteration, an effective method for eigenvalue problems of large structure is discussed. A higher convergence rate is obtained by omitting some of the Rayleigh-Ritz procedure from certain iteration steps. Some examples are calculated by using both the subspace iteration method and the accelerated method. It shows a significant reduction of CPU time if the problem is very large. Numerical results show that the accelerated subspace iteration is very efficient and numerically stable.
