Title: MALOCCLUSION FEATURES OF TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINT DISORDER SYNDROME IN CHILDREN
Abstract: Objective To study the occlusion features of temporomandibular joint disorder syndrome(TMJDS)in children. Methods A malocclusion survey was done in 550 children with TMJDS in Qingdao areas. Results Eighty percent of children surveyed showed malocclusion in different level ,in which, malposition of individual tooth accounted for the most, being 42.4%, the next was incoorditation of the height, the length and the width. Malocclusion features differ in different tooth age. Conclusion The results of this study may be used as a reference for early analysis, diagnosis and orthodontic treatment of TMJDS.
