Title: Dynamic changes of corneal posterior surface after myopic excimer laser in situ keratomileusis
Abstract: Objective To observe the changes of corneal posterior surface of myopia after laser in situ keratomileusis(LASIK).Methods Before and after surgery pentacam imaging system was used to measure the curve and elevation of corneal posterior surface of 151 cases(288 eyes).Measured eyes were divided into low myopia(105 eyes),moderate myopia(95 eyes) and high myopia(88 eyes) according to the mean spherical equivalent. The results of measurement in different time-points were compared each other among three groups. Results There were no significant difference in the curvature and elevation of corneal posterior surface before and after surgery among the low myopia and moderate myopia groups in different time-points(P0.05).The curvature of corneal posterior surface in high myopia between the first and third month postoperation were higher than preoperation(P0.05),but there were no difference changes at 6 months after surgery and before surgery. The elevation of corneal posterior surface in high myopia were higher in difference time-point after surgery than before surgery(P0.05).Conclusion The curvature and elevation corneal posterior surface in high myopia will be changed at post-LASIK.The application of pentacam imaging system has an important clinical significance in assessment of the efficacy of post-LASIK.
