Title: On the Origin of the Chinese Communist Party's Theory of United Front
Abstract: This paper aims at the exploration the formation and development of the Chinese Communist Party's Theory of united front from the perspective of the theoretical innovation of Mao Zedong and the collective wisdom of the Party. The historical materials indicate that there was a process in which Mao Zedong 's and other leaders of the Party's understanding of the importance of the united front became gradually clarified. During the process of recognizing the importance of alliances of workers and peasants and the working class and the bourgeoisie,and the formation of the thought on the institution of multiparty cooperation and mutual supervision as well as the thought on CPC's leadership in the united front,and the tactical thought for the united front in terms of flexibility and realism,extensive alignment and a combination of solidarity and struggle,Mao Zedong made epoch-making contribution,but Liu Shaoqi and Zhou Enlai also made important contribution at different periods.
