Title: Simulation Study on Rollover Crashworthiness of A Bus Body
Abstract: Collapse deformation of a bus roof is the main reason to cause serious casualties for a bus rollover accident.According to the standard of bus rollover test,rollover crashworthiness of a bus body is studied by means of nonlinear finite element numerical method.In order to decrease the solving time and obtain more accurate results,rigid-elastomer conversion technology is employed to simulate a bus rollover crashworthiness.The simulation results show that the bus body skeleton and the living space have mutual penetration,and rollover crashworthiness of the bus does not meet the requirements of ECE R66.Some suggestions are given to enhance structure stiffness to enlarge the passenger living space.
