Title: Analysis of laparoscopic cholecystectomy for 100 cases of elderly patients
Abstract: Objective To analyze the feasibility and surgical treatment of laparoscopic cholecystectomy for elderly patients. Methods Clinical data of 200 elderly patients with gallbladder diseases who were admitted to our hospital from January 2011 to October 2013 were retrospectively analyzed. They were divided into control group(100 patients) and research group(100 patients) according to surgical methods.Conventional open cholecystectomy was given to the control group, and laparoscopic cholecystectomy was given to the research group.Surgical effects were compared and analyzed between the two groups. Results Surgical incision, the amount of bleeding during surgery, surgical time, postoperative recovery time of gastrointestinal functions, transfusion time, time in bed, application time of antibodies, and hospitalization time in the research group were significantly less or shorter than those in the control group(P0.05);incidence of pain and complications in the research group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P0.05);patients′ life quality score in 2 weeks,1 month and 3 months after the surgery in the research group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P0.05). Conclusion Laparoscopic cholecystectomy for elderly patients with gallbladder diseases has a significant curative effect with low incidence of complications and high safety. It has advantages of minimally invasion, fast postoperative recovery for patients and can effectively improve patients′ life quality. Therefore, laparoscopic cholecystectomy is the initial choice if patients′ condition permits.
