Abstract:A FEA model of 9.00R20 radial tire was built bas ed on the practical sructure of 9.00R20 radial tire by using MARC General Code and taking the material nonlinearity,the geometric nonlinearity,the anis...A FEA model of 9.00R20 radial tire was built bas ed on the practical sructure of 9.00R20 radial tire by using MARC General Code and taking the material nonlinearity,the geometric nonlinearity,the anisotropy o f composite and the elasticity of rubber itself into account.The model was used to investigate the influence of such factors as deflection,inflation pressure an d static friction coefficient on the static stress/strain distribution in the gr ound-contact area.The results showed that under a certain inflation pressure,th e high stress in the ground-contact area was shifted from the centre to the out erside as the deflection increased;the friction force was small and distributed symmetrically in the static ground-contact area;the deflection decreased as th e inflation pressure increased;and under a certain deflection,the maximum stress in the ground-contact area increased as the inflation pressure increased.Read More
