Abstract:In a 4×3 latin square experiment design,four adult sika deer fitted with rumen fistulas were fed with three different frequency of feeding.The pH value,concentrations of NH 3 N and total VFA in the ru...In a 4×3 latin square experiment design,four adult sika deer fitted with rumen fistulas were fed with three different frequency of feeding.The pH value,concentrations of NH 3 N and total VFA in the rumen were determined.The dynamic variations of the main metabolic parameters and proportions of VFA were measured respectively.The experimental results showed that the frequency of feeding had a marked effect on the pH value in the rumen and the feed intake of silage for deer( P 0.01).The pH value and the feed intake of silage increased with times of feeding increase; The NH 3 N and TVFA concentrations of rumen were not significantly by the frequency of feeding( P 0.05); The results of VFA analyses indicated that the patterns for three groups of fermentation were similar; The dynamic variations of the all metabolic parameters varied with feeding at the daytime.Read More
