Title: Clinical Evaluation of LASIK for Correction of Myopia
Abstract: Objective:To evaluate the effect of excimer laser in situ keratomileusis(LASIK) on the correction of low, moderate and high myopia.Method:LASIK was performed on 242 eyes(122 patients)with refraction from-1 00to-18 00D.Postoperative follow-up period was 6~24months.Results:Naked visual acuity of94%eyes reached or exceeded their preoperative correction visual acuity. The postoperative refraction was within±1 00Di 90 3%eyes and was under correction in 19 eyes (7 8%).There were no serious postoperative complications. Conclusion:As a correction of myopia,LASIK is more accurate, effective and safer than photorefractive keratectomy.
