Abstract: The compulsory education in Japan has experienced a history of development for about 100 years since the Meiji Restoration.The balanced development has always been the important content of the ideology in each Japanese educational reform.Therefore,it is very significant to investigate the process,experience and lessons of the compulsory education practice in Japan and get some preferences for resolving educational problems in China.
