Title: On Teachers' Professional Development and Its' Significance
Abstract: Teacher's professional development is a constant process, which involves students of normal schools, a new teacher, an experienced teacher,and a practicing educator. Teachers' professional development is essential to their development. Teacher's professional development contains internalization of teacher's professional values, getting professional skills, accepting professional regulations and forming professional characteristics. The basic contents of teachers' professional development are their value, educational notion, knowledge and capabilities. Teachers' professional development is affected not only by outside environment, such as school culture, headmaster, their colleagues and educational policies, but also by internal factors, such as teachers' need, emotion, interests, attitude towards teaching. Their teaching activity is the most important factor in their professional development. It has great significance in the development of society, education and individual teachers.
