Abstract:Objective To investigate the distribution of zinc transporter 7(ZNT7)immunoreactivity in the mouse retina.Method Immunohistochemistry was used to analyze the localization of ZNT7 protein in CD-1 mouse...Objective To investigate the distribution of zinc transporter 7(ZNT7)immunoreactivity in the mouse retina.Method Immunohistochemistry was used to analyze the localization of ZNT7 protein in CD-1 mouse retina.Results Strong immunopositive products of ZNT7 were found in the ganglion cells and pigment epithelial cells,and also in the amacrine cells and the layer of optic fibers of mouse retina,with weak immunostaining of ZNT7 protein in the inner plexiform layer,outer plexiform layer and photoreceptor outer segments of mouse retrina,but not expressed in outer nuclear layer and photoreceptor inner segments.Conclusion The broad distributiom of ZNT7 in retina suggests that ZNT7 may play critical roles in zinc homeostasis in the mouse retina.Read More
