The WBC morphological characters of 50 patients whose WBC were decreased to below 3.9×10 9/L were analyzed by peripheral blood smear, and the WBC morphological changes of 25 patients whose WBC were decreased to (0.7~3.9)×10 9/L were observed before and after treatment by Jiaozhen decoction or Jiaozhen infusion. Results ①The time, case number and total effective rate in Jiaozhen decoction group whose WBC were increased to 4.0×10 9/L were significantly different from those of western medicine group and Jiaosanxian control group (P0.001).② The morphological characters in 50 patients with leukocytopenia were mainly the decrease of granulocytes, increase of monocytes and lymphocytes, and toxic granules in neutrophils. ③ The WBC of 25 patients with leukocytopenia (0.7~3.9×10 9/L) were increased to (4.3~6.7×10 9/L).Conclusion Jiaozhen decoction and Jiaozhen infusion are effective in treating leukocytipenia caused by radiotherapy and chemotherapy, without any side effect, and which is easy to be widely used in clinic.Read More
