Abstract:A compact coplanar waveguide(CPW)-fed ultra-wideband(UWB) antenna is presented in this paper.The antenna is formed by the tree-like radiation unit and the CPW.The antenna has the advantages of small s...A compact coplanar waveguide(CPW)-fed ultra-wideband(UWB) antenna is presented in this paper.The antenna is formed by the tree-like radiation unit and the CPW.The antenna has the advantages of small size and stable radiation pattern in the operating bandwidth.The key parameters affecting the performance of the antenna are simulated,analyzed and optimized by using electromagnetic simulation software.The ideal dimensions of the antenna are obtained,and the optimized antenna is manufactured and tested.The result shows the antenna's bandwidth is 3-11 GHz.The experimental result is in agreement with the simulated result,which shows the design of CPW-fed UWB antenna is feasible.Read More
