Title: The simulation of Guangzhou Inner Ring Road traffic noise and evaluation of noise control measures
Abstract: On the basis of single-vehicle noise emission model,considering the noise attenuation of distance and sound barriers,the computation model of elevated road traffic noise was developed to simulate the traffic noise distribution of Guangzhou Inner Ring Road.The noise distribution was rendering in map based on the geographical information system(GIS).The denoising effects of three noise control measures(speed limit,traffic control and sound barrier construction) were evaluated with East Huanshi Road as example.Results showed that the noise pollution in inner ring road was serious in daytime;the noise exposure of building close to road was 65-70 dB,and the window position of these buildings bearing the noise of 70-75 dB.The noise pollution was serious in East Huanshi Road,railway station section,Chungshan First Road,South Bank Road,West Huanshi Road,these place were the high noise complaints areas.The noise pollution in these area was drop down a level at night,it conformed the limit value(55 dB) of environmental noise standard for urban area(GB 3096-93).Sound barrier construction was a perfect noise control measures for it could reduce the traffic noise without impacting road and vehicle running conditions.
