Methods The cell viability was detected by MTT method. The effect of JS-K (0.3~10.0 μ mol/ L) was observed on the growth of Hela cells, A375 cells and HL-60 cells from 24 to 96 hours. Then the inhibition percentages of the growth of HL-60 cells proliferation were calculated. The morphologic changes were observed through inverted microscope. Results JS-K (0.3~10.0 μ mol/ L) obviously decreased OD values of HL-60 cells by MTT method in a time-dependent and dose-dependent manner; And the inhibitory percentages of HL-60 cells growth were increased. The 50% inhibition concentration was 0.58±0.01 μmol/ L at 96 hour. JS-K did not affect on the OD value, and has no change of number and morphous in Hela cells and A375 cell. Conclusions JS-K has inhibitory growth in HL -60 cells in vitro, but not in Hela cells and A375 cells. The anticancer mechanism is further worth of studying.Read More
