Title: The Gradually Expansion of Han-occupied-territory outside the Great Wall in the North of Shaanxi during Qing Dynasty
Abstract: During the Qing dynasty,the borderers in the six northern counties of Shaanxi crossed the Great Wall under the pressure of livelihood to emigrate and reclaim and cultivate wasteland there.They left home to work in the land in the spring,and returned in the winter.However,they just lived and worked there together only temporarily,and this kind of mode of living and production at that time was called Han-occupied-territory.With different cognition of the Han-occupied-territory during different periods of Qing Dynasty,the government formulated corresponding policies to influence the expansion of Han-occupied-territory.In this paper,the corresponding expansion of Han-occupied-territory in particular periods was clearly defined with sorting out and analyzing the data and other historical documents collected from local records of Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.
