Title: Detection of FBG, PG2h, GHbA 1 C and INS in adult diabetics
Abstract: To study the cause of hypoinsulinism,92 cases of adult diabetics were divided into two groups: group A(50 patients), whose function of islets of pancreas were normal, and group B(42 patients), who had hypoinsulinism. In group A, the patients in group A 1(30 patients) were treated by regular therapy to control blood glucose, but the patients in group A 2(20 patients)were not.In group B,based on the dietotherapy and motortherapy, grup B 1(22 patients)was treated by insulin to control blood glucose, while group B 2(20 patients)was treated by sulfaurea drugs to control blood glucose. The courses of treatment of both groups(group A and B)were 3-5 years. After the treatment, the blood glucose of group A 1 was controled, but the function of islets of pancreas of group A 2 was deteriorated;the function of islests of pancreas of group B 1 was recovered to normal, but the function of islets of pancreas of geoup B 2 had no improvement. In the analysis of insulin levels,A 2 vs A 1,A 2 vs A,B 2 vs B 1,B 1 vs B were statistically significant( P 0.01), while A 1 vs A, B 2 vs B were not( P 0.05). So the cause of hypoinsulinism are: (1) the toxic action of hyperglycosemia; (2)the use of sulfaurea drugs make the survival islet β cells overloaded and deteriorated.
