Abstract: Objective:To explore the MRI appearances and improve the recognition of occult fracture.Methods:MRI and other imaging data of 31 patients with negative performance on plain X-ray films were retrospectively analysed.Results:In 31 injuried patients,the conventional X-ray films showed no obvious change.Among them,conventional CT scanning of 11 cases also showed no abnormal signs,7 cases were suspicious of having fracture after performed with MPR,MRI imagings of all 31 cases showed abnormal signal change and were diagnosed occult fracture.Conclusions:For injuried patients who are suspicious of having clinical occult fracture,MRI examination should be the first choice and it has high sensitivity in diagnosing occult fracture.
