Title: To evaluate the curative effect of hemoperfusion in the treatment of acute severe organophosphate poisoning
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the curative effect of hemoperfusion in the treatment of acute organophosphate poisoning(AOPP).Methods 71 cases with AOPP in our hospital from 1999 to 2007 were divided into hemoperfusion group(n=35) and non-hemoperfusion group(n=36).Both of them were given combined treatment (gastric lavage, atropine, pralidoxime chloride,anti-infection,respiratory support and so on).The differences of the clinical curative effect between two groups were analysed.Result In hemoperfusion group, serum cholinesterase rose significantly(P0.01),WBC count,PLT and Cr decreased significantly(P0.01 or P0.05),prothrombin time(PT) prolonged significantly(P0.05)after the hemoperfusion.Compared with non-hemoperfusion group, serum cholinesterase(24 hours after admission) rose significantly (P0.05),atropine accumulated dose, total time of mechanical ventilation, hospital day decreased significantly(P0.05).Complications[intermediate myasthenia syndrome(IMS),pulmonary infection, respiratory failure and so on] decreased significantly(P0.01 or P0.05),cure rate increased significantly(P0.05),but there was no significant differences in the expense of hospitalization(P0.05).Conclusion Curative effect of hemoperfusion and combined treatment is obvious in the treatment of acute severe organophosphate poisoning.
