Title: Combined Detection and Its Clinical Significance of the Expression Levels of P504S,VEGF and MVD in Renal Cell Carcinoma
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the clinical significance of expressions of alpha-methylacyl-coA racemase(P504S),vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and tumor microvessel density(MVD)in patients with renal cell carcinoma(RCC).Methods Immunohistochemical labeled dextran polymer(LDP)was used to detect the expression of P504S,VEGF and MVD in 67cases of RCC and in 10cases of normal renal tissue. Results The expression of P504Sin RCC was positively correlated to the expression of VEGF and the tumor MVD;expressions of P504S,VEGF and MVD were all dramatically related to the tumor pathologic grade, the clinical stage, distant metastasis and prognosis(P0.01).Conclusion It suggests that P504S,VEGF and MVD might play a role in the biological behavior of RCC and might serve as an important indicator of malignancy, distant metastasis and prognosis of RCC.
