Title: EXPRESSION AND CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF SURVIVIN IN COLORECTAL CANCER
Abstract: Objective: To investigate the expression and clinical signifi cance of inhibitor of apoptosis gene Survivin in colorectal cancer. Methods: Immunohistochemical staining was used to detect the expression of Survivn protein in 75 cases colorectal cancer, which had complete clinical and pathological data in Tangshan Xiehe Hospital from 2009.1 to 2013.10, and then analyzed the relationships between Survivin expression and clinicopathological parameters of colorectal cancer. Results:The positive expresssion rate of Survivin protein in colorectal cancer was 69.3%(52/75), which was obviously higher than that of normal colon mucosa(P0.01). The expression of Survivin in colorectal cancer had no relations with age, sex and tumor location(P 0.05); but was related to lymph node metastasis, Dukes stage and differentiation degree(P0.01, P0.05). Conclusions:It has important value to evaluate the biological behavior of colorectal cancer by detecting Survivin protein expression level, and Survivin can provide a new molecular target therapy site for treating colorectal cancer.
