Title: Characteristics of acinetobacter baumannii infections in ICU and variation of drug resistance
Abstract: OBJECTIVE To analyze the characteristics of Acinetobacter baumannii(ABA) infections in ICU and discuss the change of drug resistance. METHODS A retrospective analysis of the clinic data of ICU room isolated from infected to 213 ABA isolates. RESULTS Source of specimen: 213 A.baumannii mainly in the respiratory secretions, accounting for 84.98%,wound secretions, accounting for 7.04% urine accounting for 3.29%,blood,accounting for 3.29%,others accounting for 1.41% 2005 to 2009.Each year, the distribution of samples have no significant difference, the number isolated of A.baumannii year after year increased,in 5 years,A.baumannii strains in the total share of G-average proportion was14.64%,total G-bacteria in the first three,2005 to 2009 year,A.baumannii G-bacteria in the total proportion of the order were 7.89%,12.84%,17.33%,16.17% and 15.07%,the share in the total ranking G-bacteria were 3,2,3,2,3,3.During 2005-2009,A.baumannii resistance to various antibiotics has increased annually to gentamicin, sulfamethoxazole, aztreonam resistance in the highest, levofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, amikacin, cefepime, ceftazidime, cefotaxime, ceftriaxone, tobramycin showed moderate resistance to imipenem in sub ammonia, meropenem, ampicillin, sulbactam, cefoperazone, sulbactam Ticarcillin, clavulanic acid and piperacillin, tazobactam resistance was low. CONCLUSION ICU A.baumannii infection is rising, showing a multi-drug resistance and clinical treatment must be based on the susceptibility testing to reasonable selection antibiotic, and than strengthen the control and monitoring to A.baumannii.
